Han Coat #00001 is completely different from #00000 with the exception of still being reversible and using the same magnets to make the hood and belts attach/detach. Now the pockets are internal and connect on both sides.

Originally, I traveled to Toronto to find inspiration for a different project. But ended up finding Caitlin (my amazing fashion consultant) and took the opportunity to continue Han Coat. We spent 3 months developing a variety of coat body shapes that future patrons can choose from. For #00001, we finalized on the beetle shape. Perfecting the sleeves and how they sit was a true labor of love. On the light side, they're tucked into the sockets but on the green side they're exposed and the edges are frayed.

The 'Eyes of Good Fortune' has been established as the official Han Coat motif moving forward. On the green side, the sleeves feature modernized hues of the most recognized hanbok stripe color combination (white, red, green, purple, yellow, pink, blue, repeat). The organic shapes rebel against traditional straight lines and are more reminiscent of mountains from Korean folk paintings.

Halloween was the first night I took the coat out for a spin. Met someone at a party who just happened to be in luxury fashion and was dressed like a boxer. He's about a foot taller than me so the coat was small on him, but it still looked amazing! I love that this gif includes people dressed as Jesus and the devil to perfectly symbolize duality – the essence of Han Coat and why it's reversible.
